Meet the Band!

The Tallahassee Syncopators is the premier traditional jazz ensemble dedicated to keeping the vibrant spirit of early New Orleans jazz alive in Tallahassee, FL.

Established in 2022, this group of friends came together when the founding members Joe Goldberg and Wayne Pearcy began putting bands together. In 2024, after a residency at The Sound Bar they this was something to continue and formalize. Thus the Tallahassee Syncopators begun!

At our core we want to have a good time and keep alive the amazing tradition of New Orleans jazz music. As the Syncopators, we have played a number of the great venues in the Big Bend area and look forward to expand to perform in Florida, the southeast United States, and one day the world! Our musical family has changed a little bit over time but, our core group is made up of 6 swinging cats! Check them out below.
